Hellriegels Junior

Der grüne Blitz

Scotland, August 1882,
When Miss Helena Campbell reads about an extraordinary physical phenomenon in the newspaper, there's no stopping her: Helena and her two uncles set off on a journey through Scotland's wilderness to see the legendary green flash with their own eyes. Not only does the weather keep throwing a spanner in the works, Helena also has to get rid of her know-it-all admirer! After a wild tour along the coast, the adventure finally ends at the legendary Fingals Cave.
Hellriegel's Junior brings Jules Verne's little-known work ‘The Green Flash’ to the paper theatre stage for the first time. A real Verne-style adventure is combined with a wonderful love story about Helena and an unknown artist.

Théâtre Mont d´Hiver

Das Lächeln der Mona Lisa?

Day in, day out, for over half a millennium, Mona Lisa has been marvelled at, admired, coveted and scrutinised. But have you ever put yourself in her shoes? Does she even want to see what she sees every day? Her urge to leave the framework that has limited her perspective so far and enter our world is more than understandable. A world in which perhaps not everything is always what it promises to be. But at least it's a new world, from a new perspective.

Papirteatret Meklenborg

Das größte Rätsel

The development of artificial intelligence in recent years makes The Greatest Enigma and the story of Anica and Benjamin and their fight against machines even more relevant than when the famous Danish author Svend Åge Madsen wrote the book in 1982.

Once it was the machines that ruled, but then a metal plague broke out that put them out of action.

But - shortly before that, the last computer developed the four substances that make up human DNA, which are not metal.

It is this code that Anica and Benjamin track down and try to solve in a race against time and the computer INGOL.

But they have been given a weapon - unknown to the computer.

Kyiv. Reise zwischen den Zeiten von Yaroslavna

The main characters in this play are historical figures from Ukraine whose aim was to connect Kiev and Europe: Yaroslav the Wise, Grand Duchess Ingigerda, Princess Olga, Anna, Agatha, Anastasia and Elizabeth. The aim of the stage is to distract the inhabitants of Kiev from the complexity of today and to give them hope. We are delighted that the theatre is also sharing its play with us in Preetz. The script was written by Fedir Balandin, the author of a well-known theatre play about the fate of Anna Kyivska's daughter Edigna, who later became a saint in Bavaria.

Stage/production: Self-designed stage, based on ancient frescoes and monuments of Kiev.

Language: English/German; Approx. duration: 25 minutes; Recommended age: 8+, for adults

They take a liking to each other and set off on their search together. The Nibelungen saga and the Song of the Nibelungs provide them with unexpected clues. It turns out that Loreley is actually called Siegried because she is a descendant of the warrior Siegfried.
On their journey, they encounter a mysterious water dwarf. He is a descendant of the fairy king Alberich and knows verses from the Song of the Nibelungs that were ‘never sung’, but which help them on their journey.
The myth of the old heroic saga and the allusions hidden in it, which inspire the imagination, describe a treasure hunt that is not only exciting, but also ends surprisingly.
